GRAIN: Straight to interlocked; coarse texture. HARDNESS (JANKA): 1725; 34% harder than Northern red oak. DIMENSIONAL STABILITY: Excellent (change coefficient .00180; 51% more stable than red oak). DURABILITY: Average to high durability.
